About Secular Franciscan Order (SFO)
The Secular Franciscan Order (SFO), formerly known as the Third Order of St Francis, brings the Franciscan spirit to lay people. Members strive to live the Gospel following the example of St Francis of Assisi through prayer, simplicity, and service to the poor.
History
The SFO fraternity at Moodubelle has nurtured the Franciscan charism among lay faithful for many years.
Objectives
To live the Gospel in the spirit of St Francis; to promote peace and reconciliation; to serve the poor and marginalised; to observe Franciscan spirituality through prayer and fasting.
